The Simplicity of Prayer
One of the most important and impactful things we can do
As a child, I don’t offer much to situations when it comes to big, real life scenarios. But praying, you can be any age and support the situation immeasurably.
So many times, the problem is out of my hands, so my way of helping is to pray, and ask others to pray as well. I encourage you to do so as well. Pray for healing, pray for love, pray for hope. Pray for peace. Pray for loved ones. Prayer is asking an all knowing, all powerful, all seeing God to help.
Jesus says this about prayer: “Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” -Mark 11:24. This is so powerful! How incredible is the power of Jesus Christ? Now, not every prayer will be made reality. I’ve prayed for many cases where, it didn’t go the way I asked and it’s hard. But that doesn’t stop me from continuously praying. Because I know that God has a plan. Even if it’s hard. Even if it hurts.
In many things I do, create and enjoy; I talk with the Lord about. Notice the word; talk. Praying doesn’t always have to be you on your knees, it can simply be a sentence. It can be a conversation. Sometimes, I simply will talk to God, to calm myself, to talk out the situation in my head. Prayer is as simple as saying, ‘Give me peace,’
Prayer instills patience. Prayer instills hope. Prayer instills faith. I encourage you to pray, right now. Pray for something. Someplace. Someone.
-Demi, who has just one question for you; Who are you praying for??
